Dr. Martina Brandt accepts a chair at the Technical University of Dortmund

In October 2014, Dr. Martina Brandt, Assistant Coordinator Research at SHARE, will be taking up the professorship for social structure and sociology of ageing populations at the Technical University of Dortmund.

Dr. Martina Brandt is an expert for life course sociology and especially concentrates on the influence of social policy on work, family and health in Europe.

'I would like to deepen the intensive international collaboration of sociologists, demographers, epidemiologists, gerontologists and economists and to establish a profound collaboration between the Munich Center for the Economics of Ageing and the Technical University of Dortmund’s sociological institute by implementing common research projects and workshops', explains Brandt.
