Results of the Interdisciplinary MPS Research Initiative on the Refugee Crisis
The interdisciplinary research initiative of the Max Planck Society, "The Challenges of Migration, Integration and Exclusion", presented a number of its final results after three years of intensive work. Particularly, the researchers from the six participating Max Planck Institutes have evaluated the impact of the migration crisis of 2015 on governance: Have the legal and administrative provisions met the challenges? How can we improve to be better prepared for future immigration waves? Dr. Constantin Hruschka and Tim Rohmann, researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy, have contributed to the project by examining the plethora of changes to the German Asylum and Migration Law and asking the question: Is this legislative hyperactivity? The answer is provided in the conluding webinar of the research initiative that can be watched on youtube.
