The Institute Mourns the Death of Board of Trustees Member Dr. Joachim Lemppenau

With Dr. Joachim Lemppenau, who passed away at the end of September 2022 at the age of 80, the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy lost a very committed and valued member of its Board of Trustees. Equally interested in socio-legal as well as socio-political issues, the law expert built a bridge between science, business and society as a member of the supervisory board of a globally active company. On the basis of his broad experience, he was able to provide the Institute with important impulses for its research. His particular interests included the consequences of global developments such as climate change and digitalization.
